Winter 2008 Quilt Classes
Beginning Quilting 101 -
For those who would like to learn to make a quilt or for those who have maybe made a couple of quilts but have lots of questions. The class begins with a discussion of the equipment and supplies of quilters, how to use them and progresses to picking out fabric for your quilt, rotary cutting and machine piecing including lots of tips and tricks. At the end of this class, you will have a quilt top and may choose to continue on with Quilting 201. The standard class project is a lap size quilt but you may choose to make a smaller or larger quilt. Class meets for five sessions, Wednesday afternoons from 1- 3 or evenings from 6 - 8, begins April 9th; $50
Lets Make a Baby Quilt -
For a beginner quilter or someone who has maybe made a couple of quilts but has questions and needs a little guidance. This class will make a simple baby quilt - you'll be able to cover all the basic steps of quilting in an easy to complete project. We'll meet for just two sessions at the end of which you will have a quilt top. Saturday mornings 9 - 11, May 10th and 11th; $35
Beginning Quilting 201 -
For those graduates of Beginning Quilting 101 or Let's Make a Baby Quilt who have mastered the basics, have completed their top and are ready to move on to finishing their quilt top. This is a hands on class that will cover basting, basic machine quilting, and bindings. You will need a completed quilt top to work on for this class. Those who have taken Beginning Quilting 101 or Let's Make a Baby Quilt receive a $10 discount on this class. Meets for two sessions, Wednesday afternoons from 1 - 3 or evenings from 6 -8, May 21st and 28th; $50.
Log Cabin -
Make this classic pattern with a lot of history. Class meets for two sessions, Wednesdays 1-3 pm, May 14th and May 21st; $35
Making Lemonade -
This is an adorable pattern - the class project is a twin size but you can easily make an additonal baby quilt with the scraps. Just in time for spring - choose lovely spring prints reminscent of sweet afternoons drinking lemonade on the porch. One session, Saturday, May 10th, 12 - 4 (precutting required, get instructions when you sign up) ; $25

Learn how to finish off the edges of your quilt. Two methods will be demonstrated and the third method will be a hands on French Fold binding. You'll love how easy it is to learn this method. This class has filled up everytime we have offered it. Everyone just loves the display quilts. Now the time has come to make your own Vermont Window quilt. Choose winter, spring, summer or fall. It's like looking out a window upon a beautiful Vermont scene. Pam will guide you in mastering this technique as you make a beautiful landscape reminiscent of Vermont. This is the class to learn all about color - if you can at all manage to fit this class into your schedule you must take this class. What you learn will serve you well.
